"Calm down, what happens happens mostly without you." - Albers
I think one of the most inspiring talks of this year was by Tal Rosner, and was certainly a great turn out as there was even no room on the aisle steps to sit on!
From hearing that this Bafta award winning graphic designer was going to come and talk to us it was definitely something not to miss.
I had never really come across a graphic designer that was motivated so much by rythm. As Im also a big fan of music and percussion I liked the guy already!
His knack for rythm made him want to 'translate my works into moving image'.
Using the Stravinsky concerto for two pianoes Rosner created a wonderful moving image collage with 2 screens that emphasied movement and rythm by showing trains and bridges shaped and moved to create a pattern.
This is another of Rosners works called 'Future of Sound' by Tal Rosner and Sophie Clements.
Tal Rosner also designed the beginning of the channel 4 programme 'Skins' from 2005 to the present.
He uses his style to create a dynamic and visually eye-catcing opening title sequence.
